The Behavior Education Center is part of Behavior Services of Brevard, Inc. which has a long-standing reputation in Brevard County, Florida. Our highly qualified staff work in tandem to develop meaningful learning opportunities for your child. Our ABA program and data-driven approach to your child's learning is something you won't find in other educational settings.
Many families find that their child's needs cannot be accommodated in other programs; either due to the nature of the child's disability, the behavior challenges, or both. At BEC, depending upon funding, we have the ability to provide more intensive staff to student ratios throughout the day for those students who need it.
Our President, Karen and our Education Director, Heather are also experienced trainers and frequently provide training and coaching to local childcare programs, as well as provide parent education.

What sets us Apart
Centrally located in Brevard County Florida!!
The Behavior Education Center, located in Brevard County Florida, offers ABA-based clinic and educational services to those with a behavioral barrier that limits their education progress and/or options. Through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), grade-appropriate Pearson Curricula, and principles of developmentally appropriate teaching and learning, the BEC is an excellent choice for your child!
Children from the ages of 2-21 are accepted into the Behavior Education Center as space allows. Many of our students receive enhanced staffing ratios with a Registered Behavior Technician, and others work in small classroom groups of 4-6 children throughout their day.
Our BCBA's (Board Certified Behavior Analysts) work in collaboration with our Education Director to customize a learning and behavior program that suits each individual child. The ABA program is implemented daily with opportunities for breaks throughout the day as needed.
Students at the Behavior Education Center work on practical life skills such as self care, preparing meals, doing laundry, and caring for pets. Some of our students also work on academic skills in the areas such as math/spatial learning, language and literacy, and sensorial skills.Teaching and practicing social skills is also a very important part of what we do at the Behavior Education Center. At the BEC we utilize Tools for Positive Behavior Change, the VB MAPP (verbal behavior), and the Essentials for Living curriculum.
Through the combined use of behavior based teaching and the use of developmentally appropriate materials, students make rapid gains in all areas at the BEC! Some of our students eventually transition back into (or into for the first time) mainstream educational settings, while others remain in our program full time.
